MUSEUM HILL | MIX-USED DEVELOPMENT

This development, in Nairobi, comprises of a shopping mall, hotel, office building and serviced apartments. The plot is situated at the cusp of the old city and the new development, perched on top of a hill, and lying directly on the axis of Uhuru highway which connects the two parts of Nairobi. The design orients itself to this strategic location through a large deck, with amenities, connecting various components of the mixeduse development in a multi-faceted form. The design attempts to translate the abstract ideas of speed, flow and movement into an architectural expression taking a cue from the pivotal location at which the plot is sited.
