SAEDA | MASTERPLAN PROPOSAL
Saeeda, Al Marjan which translates to ‘Happiness’ is designed around the idea of creating a destination which inspires a feeling of happiness, romance and nostalgia and fulfil one’s quest for discovery, thrill and adventure, besides offering a platform for various people to meet and interact in different settings. The design concept is driven by the history and identity of the Emirate itself. The emirate is built, layer by layer, on nearly 7000 years of heritage, culture and community. The civilisation in this region has evolved through millenniums by a unique model that stems from the interaction between its varied landscape comprising of the coast, fertile lands, deserts and the mountain ranges, with its inhabitants.
